Ubisoft has revealed the upcoming Peter Jackson-helmed, Stephen Spielberg-produced The Adventures of Tintin: The Movie will be getting a video game tie-in, called The Adventures of Tintin: The Game.
Based on Belgian artist Hergé’s beloved graphic novel series, the game will follow the titular journalist on a cooperative adventure with other series regulars Captain Haddock and Snowy the dog. Footage in the announcement video included several bits of platforming action, including one of Tintin and Haddock trying to escape a sinking ship, as well as some vehicular sections including a motorcycle and sidecar and a sea plane.
Release date and platforms have yet to be revealed, but it’s likely that the game’s release window will roughly coincide with that of the feature film, which is due in theaters December 23.

Culture secretary turns down invite to summer party that coincides with his final decision on News Corp/BSkyB deal The culture secretary, Jeremy Hunt, will not attend Rupert Murdoch’s annual summer party in London on Thursday night, as he is days away from announcing that he will give the media mogul approval to go ahead with the £8bn-plus purchase of the 61% of BSkyB his company News Corp does not own.
