If you are intending to send a "Look how clever my daughter is" card, don't bother. Nobody really wants that, it's just showing off and does not improve their lives.

Instead phone them to tell them the good news.

Or better yet, let HER tell them HER good news. She's the one that did the work and is entitled to show off.

My parents did what you want to do: every time I achieved something they would tell everyone else. This has left me feeling I am not allowed to tell people when I do a good thing and I wouldn't know how to anyway. Also, because it was my parents who received all the praise for what I did, I also do not know how to receive positive feedback, or thanks. Instead I just get shy and reject it, both physically and mentally.

Don't steal her thunder; she's worked really hard to get it.

Hi Mea,

You can let her send out her graduation announcement and then you send your own graduation announcement through a free online announcement site like amigram. I heard about it on the Clark Howard Show. It was also in the San Francisco Chronicle.

You can write your own message, include photos, videos, links, where you have your wish list if you have one, and include a place for visitors to post comments, if you want. It's all free. You can send it privately to your friends or, if you want, send it and post it on the site. It's pretty cool.
