If you have the original picture you can still fix it. 72 DPI is web resolution as monitors can't display higher than that… plus is convenient when you are E-mailing or uploading to your web site. Print Resolution is 200, 250 or 300 DPI. I use 200 DPI for print.
Open the original file in Photoshop, go to IMAGE and scroll down to SIZE. Set the resolution to 200.
