Aaron D.: In the past, at least, when vendors saw RLG on my nametag, it was remarkably difficult to talk to their backs or the space where they were. Now? Dunno. In any case, I mostly got out of the habit… As to vendor lunches/breakfasts: My own experience and that of others suggests that these can indeed be worthwhile if you’re interested in the vendor’s stuff. (But I’d never go just for the free meal!)
