As long as they have Office or just Word, it doesn't matter what platform you created it on. If they don't have Office then they can download OpenOffice (available for PC, Mac and Linux) and it will be able to handle ~95% of the stuff created in Office. However, templates may look a little off under OpenOffice when opening an MS Office document.

You could also consider creating a PDF, that way, the formatting will be the same for all of them and you could just post the PDF file to your website. CutePDF will save files as PDF, for free. But you will have to "print" them. File > Print then select CutePDF, select an output directory and file name and it will output a PDF file.

A PDF is the best way to ensure it appears the same to everyone. Though you may have to consider purchasing professional PDF software if you intend to do this very often.
